Bachelorette Party

This was a lot of fun once we finally found the place! We went to The Hollywood Men and must've went up and down the street 3 or 4 times looking for the place. I had to call the place, got a recording but we finally found it!

unfortunately there aren't many pictures, just crappy ones from my phone! :( i didn't bring my camera in cause i wasn't sure if i could, of course i found out i could've, but oh well! We had fun, that's all that matters. Lots and lots of hot hard bodies! I'll be honest, yes the men were nice to look at, but i was impressed more by the dance moves of some of these guys! they could dance, i was jealous! hahaha it was great, i recommend going at least once. it's fun, it's not trashy and gross like watching women strip, cause it's not stripping really, it's more of a show! it was a lot of fun!! here are some pictures, again not great!

NOW FOR THE MEN!!

Braced

I've been braced!! It happened, I got my braces!! I was extremely nervous, but it was pain free which was good....cause I didnt know what to expect. I'm sooo not in love with the way it looks right now, bleh!! Im sure they'll look better.

I got them on Friday and totally felt like Josey Grossy from Never Been Kissed! Gah! I especially felt this way cause friday night was the night of my cousins bachelorette party and we were all going out in cute little party dresses, so that is totally how i felt!!

the pain has somewhat subsided as of today, my lips are starting to get used to the cuts and callusing over lol! But it'll be worth it in the end!!

The Bridal Shower

Today was my cousins bridal shower! Let me tell you...i'm exhausted! And all i did was drink wine and play games! haha! i did play photographer for a little bit, got some good shots of the bride to be! hope she likes them! she better cause she's my cousin! haha

It was a great turn out and we had a lot of fun. She got a lot of good stuff to get her and her future husband started!
let me get back to the wine! i'm definitely not a wine person at all, i think it's gross. but, i will drink the moscato. As i said, i don't drink wine so i don't know if there is anything else to add to that other than i know it's a moscato! lol. but my aunt made some fruity punch that we added the wine and some cyder to and it was delicious! there was also tons of food. my aunt was somehow able to get a couple of chefs that she knows that work for wolfgang puck (so have no idea on the spelling of his name), I'm not sure how my aunt knows them but they were gracious enough to cook for us ladies and it was wonderful.

We played a couple of the typical games...look through your purse and check it off from a list..and of course made toilet paper wedding dresses! I had a great picture of the toilet paper dress my team did but i took it with the camera on my phone and somehow it got corrupted :-(....oh well

I'm so happy I was able to share this day with her. i love you Krista! your the best cuz!

next is the bachelorette party next weekend!
of course it will be the night i get my braces on! lol, i'll just have to drink extra to deal with the pain! haha!.

flying by

These past few weeks feel like they have flown by. Why? I don’t really know. I feel like I haven’t had time to just sit and do this. I haven’t had time to catch up with my girls at woman2woman. I thought about them and about this blog and about sitting and writing, but I couldn’t find the time. Of course I have nothing to show for whatever it was that was keeping me busy. I do have school 4 days a week, 3 of which are after work so I know that took up a lot of my time. Homework and preparing for tests and what not, but other than that, I really don’t know where the time went. Which is kind of crappy. Softball took up some of my time as well, but nothing significant. I only played a few games in the last few weeks. I’m kind of torn when it comes to that. I love playing. I’ve played fastpitch since I was 9 or 10 and now I play slowpitch, which I’ve played for the last 10 years. The last couple years have slowed down as far as me playing so much. I went from playing 3 days a week to 1. I also played tournaments every weekend, whereas now, I haven’t played on in months and months. I’m torn because sometimes I miss playing tournaments and I miss playing more than once a week, but at the same time, I’m glad to only play once a week. I think part of that is because I have school, so I need at least 1 or 2 days where I’m not doing anything, where I can come home from work and just sit. I can play my video games or read my books, snuggle up with my boyfriend and watch our favorite shows/movies. I think when I’m done with school I’ll play another day a week. OK, now that I’ve gone off topic a bit let’s real it back in. I did have some time in these past few weeks to fit in some fun. We went camping this weekend, yes, in the pouring rain. More on this to come! Pictures as well. As I look back at these last couple weeks and realize the time just flew by I know the next month is going to go by even faster. I’ve got a busy month ahead. It should be a lot of fun, I hope, mostly. Over the next 5 weeks I’ll be busy every weekend on top of finishing up this semester of school. Starting this weekend I have a bridal shower to attend, a gem and mineral show for extra credit in my geology class, then a bachelorette party, a rehearsal dinner, a college graduation/graduation party (not mine), and 2 weddings and finals for 3 classes…. See? Lots to do! It should be lots of fun, except for the school part, especially since I’m not involved in any of the wedding planning, I’m just showing up Hahaha! I gave up on getting involved a long time ago. It’s my cousin’s wedding by the way, I’m in the bridal party. The other wedding is a good friend to the family. Known her for years!! How could I forget??!! I’m also getting braces! Yikes! I know, 25 and braces :/…could have them on as early as next week…not necessarily looking forward to it, but it’s something I’d like to get done and I can finally do it, so I’m going to do it! I’m a little nervous about it, so we’ll see how it goes. Ok….I’m going to try my best to keep this updated!! Til next time!

Books & Games

GAME OF THRONES!!!

For those of you who haven't heard of it, i'm shocked! It's become quite popular as a show on HBO. I started reading the books long before the HBO series. And let me tell you, what an awesome series of books. I got my Bill hooked on them and my sister as well. If it wasn't for a colleague at work I probably would've ended up reading the books, but it would've been me jumping on the band wagon because of the HBO show lol!

Don't get me wrong, the show is great! I'm currently rereading book 2 because season 2 premiers tonight on HBO, which i actually won't be watching because I will be in bed when it starts (damn work, making me get up at 4:30 in the morning) so thank goodness for on demand :-)

So far there are 5 books, i just finished reading the last one as it just came out not too long ago, and i'm hoping a 6th book is in the works and comes out soon, although it did take the author, George. R.R. Martin, something like 3 years to get this last book out. Fingers crossed it won't take this long to get the 6th book out. I know it won't be this year, but hoping for next year! I highly recommend this book to everyone! It's obviously a fiction, medieval times ish. Sword fights and magical gods and all kinds of good stuff. "Winter is coming"

Ok, so i mentioned games as well in the title of this post! Bill has introduced me to a new video game, for those of you who don't know, i enjoy playing video games. Reading and video games, i could do all day! But anyway, I can never find a game that i like. I'm obsessed with Kingdom Hearts, and haven't really found a game i fully enjoy since then! and i'm so pissed that the newer games are not on PS3 (playstation 3) but on Nintendo DS i think, i just know, it's not on a game console that i have, *sad face*, I have found that i absolutely love the Lego video games, (Batman, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter (favorite), Pirates of the Caribbean). i also like call of duty, but i don't play that often. So back to the whole point of this, Bill has hooked me on a game called Borderlands, so much so that i've marked in my calendar the release date of the sequel coming out in September i believe. The graphics are great, really cool, different from games i've played in the past, it's like a comic book. it's first person shooter game essentially, but the cool thing is it's 1 player, a big must, as i want to play with Bill not just watch him play, although i don't always mind that. cause i would much rather watch him play Assassin's Creed than try and play myself! But anyway, Borderlands is great! i even have withdrawals, ok, not really, but sort of. Like today, he's gone today, it's his day with his girls, and we didn't play as much as i would've liked to this weekend, so i'm wanting to play, but i won't without him cause we've started together! so i'll suffer for the next few days til we play! lol

So...watch Game of Thrones, preferably, read the books, but at least check the show out, it's great! and if you like video games, i hope you've played Borderlands cause i <3 it!

The Sickness

After feeling crappy yesterday, I feel much better today! Sore throat, stuffy nose, no fun! but much better now! And just in time for the perfect weather today! it's absolutely beautiful! of course i'll be stuck inside...I've got laundry to do and research on my research paper! it's ok though, i can sit downstairs and look outside and see how lovely it is! :D
