Last week was Ariana's birthday so of course I had to take her to her favorite birthday destination. Disneyland. I took her last year and for her 7th birthday I took her again this year. The best part was it was just the two of us. I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Her birthday was Monday, May 6th, but we went on Thursday the 9th. It worked out great, the crowds weren't bad at all. I think the longest we waited was maybe 20 minutes, maybe. I definitely recommend going during the week if you can! I will never go on a weekend if I can help it.
Last year I bought park-hopper tickets for California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park. I don't think I'll do that again until she's older if at all. Last time we spent most of our time in California Adventure because we went there first so by the time we went to the regular park we hardly hit anything. This time we just did the one park, Disneyland and we were able to do so much.
I'd like to make this a kind of tradition if i can, taking her every year for her birthday, just the two of us. Before last year her Grandma on her dad's side had taken her for a couple years I believe. I know this is one of her favorite places and I'm happy I can give that to her!

Go Dodgers
Bill and I took the girls out to the Dodger game a few weeks ago. We spent the whole day with them. Picked them up early and took them to breakfast and then we played at the park for a while. It's amazing how easily and fast kids make friends. It's a wonderful thing to see. They made fast friends with a little girl at the park.
I met Bill's dad for the first time, also Bill. It's the first family member I've met. I was definitely a little nervous. He was really nice, seems like a great guy and I look forward to meeting more of his family. Of course the most important people to me are his girls. This was our second meeting and it went great.
They had a lot of fun at the game. All morning they couldn't wait to get there, especially Sophia. She's only 4 so she didn't get the game or really pay attention to it but she was having a lot of fun. I think they enjoyed the hot dogs and snow cones the most! It was a little unfortunate because that particular day was Kids Run the Bases and the line was ridiculously long and it was way too hot to stand in line after the game for them to do that. It was ok though, I don't think it was a big deal for them. They were happy with the kids batting helmets given out before the game!
Taking it slow and getting them used to me. I look forward to getting to know them better and them me.

Corey & Megan's Wedding - April 6, 2013
Two weeks later I've finally gone through the pictures I have. It was such a wonderful wedding. The ceremony was great, not too long, just right, lol. They both looked great, everyone did. Lots of dancing and drinking, wouldn't have seen them do it any other way. I'm so happy for the two of them! Welcome to the family Megan!! Here are a few pictures from the wedding:

New Adventure
I've recently, as in just yesterday, started a new adventure! I'm doing and online program for Medical Transcription Editing. My sister showed this to me. This is something she is studying to do because she wants to work from home as she tries to build up her real estate career. I thought this would be a great thing for me to do to supplement my income. Potentially I could make decent money even doing this part time. I myself have never really been one to think much of these kinds of things, but I'm really hoping this works out and turns out to be something I can continue doing especially when Bill and I decide to have kids. I'm still continuing my other education and I'm almost done with associates degree. I'm very excited to see where this takes me. It's perfect to start it now because I won't be in school this summer, only because they aren't offering any classes I need. :/
Fingers crossed and hoping for the best in everything!

Easter
It’s Monday, we are back at work. Bleh! Although I shouldn’t complain, I’m extremely happy to have a job! I could’ve used another day off though. Who am I kidding, I could always use another day off! HA! I wouldn’t mind if it rained today like it did yesterday, but I was hoping it would’ve been nice yesterday…for Easter. I love the rain and all but still….I’m not religious in any way and my niece was with her father’s family, so I wasn’t worried about having sunshine for any of that. But it would’ve been nice to BBQ in nice weather. Especially because it is staying lighter later. We usually have dinner on Easter with most of the family; aunts, uncles, cousins etc. This is on my mother’s side, unfortunately my father’s side lives too far away. No one is that religious but we still like to get together, usually, this year we didn’t, it was just the immediate family, which is ok too.
We actually didn’t even start making dinner until about 6:30. For a couple of reasons. As I said my niece was at her father’s side and was coming back around 4 to go to a bowling tournament with my sister’s boyfriend. They were bowling together. They wouldn’t be done until at least 7 so we waited to have dinner when they were done. I’d say it turned out pretty good. We did nothing traditional, no ham, which is good because I’m no fan of ham. We did ribs instead, with some corn and baked beans. I’ll have that over a ham dinner any day! Bill made and apple brown betty (sp?). Which was pretty good. I don’t normally eat anything like that, I’m pretty picky with desserts, but I tried it and it was good. He did a good job! First time making it.
We sat around eating and watching The Rundown, good movie. A great ending to the day

Lindsey Stirling
I was recently turned onto a new musician, Lindsey Stirling. She plays the violin and mixes it with some dubstep, techno, whatever you want to call it. Whatever it is I'm absolutely obsessed with. Seriously can't get enough. Every time I hear it on my iPod I repeat whichever song it is at least six times. Just yesterday as I was listening to my iPod at work her favorite song of mine, Shadows, came on and I listened to it for at least 20 minutes, over and over again! Kid you not! Til it was time for me to go! I also like the Phantom of the Opera medley she does. I love Shadows because it's so upbeat. It's kind of folky and whimsical ish to me. It reminds me of a couple of scenes. One from the TV show Firefly when River is dancing the may pole, it's the witch episode I believe. And the other is the scene in Titanic on the lower class level when Rose and Jack drink and dance with 3rd class. It makes me want to get up and dance. Be in the middle of a filed of flowers and dance. I know, a little hippy or crazy, but whatever! I will have to thank my sister for turning me onto her music. seriously, just love it!

At Last We Meet
Sunday I finally got to meet Bill's little ones. Olivia and Sophia. Absolutely adorable. Extremely shy. It took them about 15 minutes before they would say a word. Lol. But they eventually warmed up. I met them at Chuck e Cheese and then we went to the park. I can't tell you how long I've been waiting to meet them and I'm so glad I finally did. I'm excited to become a part of their lives. It will be a slow process but it's finally begun and we can move forward from here. :)
